Last month Josh and I had the opportunity to go on a family trek. I have to admit that I wasn't too excited to go. It was like high school all over again, because we had a youth trek when I was a junior and it was the last thing I wanted to do over summer vacation. It turned out to be such a wonderful experience. 7 years later here I am again. I didn't want to leave my baby, I didn't want to camp in the dust and wind, and I didn't want to walk 25 miles. Once again I was humbled and had an awesome experience. It was not only a testimony builder, but we got to know people in our ward a lot better. Enjoy the pictures!
Josh and I in our garb, and our house for the next 3 days.
Our AWESOME trek leader. He did an amazing job. Good job, Brother G!
The men leaving the women for the women's pull. This is always such a spiritual experience. It was a lot harder than I remembered it being 7 years ago!
Josh being big Buddah. He was pretty excited!
Martins Cove

The river experience. We crossed it three times!
The last day. Tired and ready to get home to Eliza and a shower!

Loved this post...especially since we were your treking neighbors! My favorite pictures are the ones of Josh and Terry and the one at Martin's Cove. Great times!
How fun! Was that in the same spot as our high school one, cuz i don't remember having to cross a river 3 times. That makes me want to go on one too, I'm glad you had a great experience!
I am glad that you guy were able to have that opportunity!! It looks like you had a great time, too bad Josh lost his ring!! Hope you are all doing great!
